January 2009 Newsletter: History tells us that the second Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans ~
The Redeemer had come and laid down His life for the sins of the world; and the Glory of the Lord had departed the Temple. (Matthew 23:34-39; 24:1: 27:50, 51; Mark 15:38; Luke 23:45; Ezekiel 10:18, 19)
Israel had sinned; innocent blood had been shed in its borders (Lamentations 1:8; 4:13, 20; Daniel 9:26; Matthew 27:4, 19, 25), and Israel had not repented. (Exodus 23:7: Numbers 35:33, 34,):. . full story...
JESUS SAID: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5:39)
Isaiah 28:10 "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:"
The Church of Jesus Christ
Our reference to the Church of Jesus Christ in our website does not define a particular religion or house of worship, but the body of believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Some of our teaching may conflict with what you have been taught, but we encourage you to read the Bible, speak to your pastors, and above all, to seek God's guidance in prayer. "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ." (1Corinthians 1:2, 3)
We Study and Teach the Scriptures
We study and teach the Scriptures; including the Book of Revelation. Few preachers and pastors tell their congregations about the prophecies of the Book of Revelation; and many Christians fail to read the Book of Revelation on their own, fearing that what is contained therein, is too difficult for them to understand. But there is a reason why we are told in the Book of Revelation that we are: - Blessed if we read - Blessed if we hear - And blessed if we keep, the words of the prophecy written in this Book. The Book of Revelation tells the Church of Jesus Christ the things that were, those that are, and those that are to come.
If your Bible states, "The Revelation of Saint John the Divine" or "of Saint John," feel free to line through it and write: "The Revelation of Jesus Christ." Because it is, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." (Revelation 1:1-3)
The Lord Our God is One Lord
Jesus said, "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29-31; Luke 10:27)
"Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any." (Isaiah 44:8) "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." (Isaiah 45:22) "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me," (Isaiah 46:9) "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." (1 Corinthians 8:6)
"Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:" (Colossians 1:26-28)
